Welcome To The Vermont Secretary of
State's
Web Site Help System
The Secretary of State's Web Site is currently undergoing a major
revision. We appreciate comments and suggestions as well as
notification when someone finds something that is broken or not working
correctly. On the bottom of every page is contact information for both
Technical Issues and Content Issues. Getting help is
easy and timely, just send us an e-mail or give us a call. The needed
contact information is on the bottom of each page.
A Technical issue is an issue where something is not working correctly
like an e-mail, hyperlink or programming issues relating to database display
results, Java, etc...
Content related issues center around the actual page content and include
things like spelling, incorrect hyperlinks, pictures that don't display
correctly, missing or incomplete information etc...
Navigation of the Web Site has been revised with the goal of having no
one page more than 3 clicks away from a visitor's present location.
This is done through the combination of a Master Menu which is
displayed across the top of every page (except forms which are designed to
be printed), and the use of Side Menus that specifically relate to
pages of interest for the area of the site you are visiting.
The Web Site is also being being revised so that it meets the World Wide
Web Consortium's (W3C) guidance for compliance as it applies to accessibility. This
means that if a Web Page is displaying the 'Bobby Logo', it meets the Level
One Criteria for access by individuals with disabilities. To learn
more about Bobby Approval click the Bobby Logo on the bottom of any page that displays it.
This help site will develop into an easy to use help system as revisions
to the overall web site take place. If you need specific help please contact
the webmaster. |
