Civil Government Guide
State of Vermont
(This guide is updated and printed in Dcember of each odd-numbered year.)
The Guide to Civil Government is not a glamorous publication. It has
the literary feel of a phone book. Indeed, like a phone book, it is a tool -- a
way of finding out who to call or where to go. This publication contains lists
of executive and judicial officers and offices, state officials and agencies,
and committees from the Access Board to the Woodstock Regional Correctional
Facility.
This guide began as a separate publication in the 1970s, appearing prior to that
as only a part of the Vermont Legislative Directory and State Manual.
As the century ends The Guide to Civil Government, is not only
published in paper but also in electronic form, showing up on a variety of
different office and agency websites.
The Office of the Vermont Secretary of State now has this publication available
through our web site in Adobe Acrobat format. It requires Acrobat 4.0 Reader or
higher to read it. If you do not have an appropriate version of Acrobat, you can
