STEVEN C. ADAMS
of Hartland, Windsor County, Republican, was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, on March 18, 1949, and became a resident of present town in 1984. Occupation: Retired from A.T.&T. Corp. He was educated at Hartford High School, White River Junction, Vermont; A.T.&T. Technical Schools, Dublin, Ohio and Atlanta, Georgia. He is married to the former Barbara “Jean” Pettengill and they have three sons. Member of: Vermont Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, founder and co-chair; Hartland Board of Civil Authority; American Legion Post #48; Hartland Fish & Game Club; Upper Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited, Life Member and Past President; U.S. Army Signal Corps (1968-1971); Deacon at North Hartland Community Church; Former Deputy State Game Warden. 2005 Recipient of the Audubon Vermont’s Art Gibb Legislative Award for outstanding contributions to environmental conservation; chaired the House Fish, Wildlife & Water Resources Committee from 2002-2006.
