PAUL N. POIRIER
of Barre City, Washington County, Democrat, was born on September 30, 1948, in Lewiston, Maine, and became a resident of Barre City in 1970. Occupation: Legislator. Paul was educated at private schools in Maine and Norwich University, Northfield, Vermont where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970 and a Master’s degree in History and Government in 1973. He is married to Lesley (McLeod) Poirier and has two grown children. Member of the Barre City Council 1990-1999, 2008-present, District 5 Environmental Commission 1991-1997, Aldrich Public Library Trustees, 2008-present. Past Executive Director of the Turning Point Center of Central Vermont, Past President of the Green Mountain United Way.
