He was educated at Avon High School, Avon, CT; Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts (B.A., 1968). He is married to Ann Mangan French and they have three daughters. He is the Town Moderator; M.C. of Town Variety Shows; Local Auctioneer; Former Bastketball Coach – Shrewsbury Mountain School; and former President and Treasurer of Shrewsbury Nursery School.
