MITZI JOHNSON of South Hero, Grand Isle County, Democrat, was born on November 18th 1970 in Clifton Park NY and became a resident of present town in 1993. She was educated at Shenendehowa Central School in Clifton Park, New York, University of Vermont, Burlington VT (B.S. 1993). Mitzi is a program and policy specialist with the Vermont Campaign to End Childhood Hunger. She also paints silk scarves sold throughout the United States and teaches piano lessons. Formerly, Mitzi managed vegetable production and the apple harvest crew at Allenholm Farm in South Hero. She is a captain and EMT with South Hero Rescue and board member of the Chittenden-Grand Isle County VNA. She is a former board member of the South Hero Land Trust (1995-2008) and UVM’s College of Agriculture and Life Science Advisory Board (2002-2006). ROBERT C. KREBS of South Hero, Grand Isle County, Democrat, was born in Potsdam, New York on December 16, 1947. He became a resident of South Hero in 1971. Krebs is a retired Professional Civil Engineer and Licensed Land Surveyor. He was educated at Potsdam Central School in upstate New York and received his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont in 1970. He completed graduate work in Sanitary Engineering at UVM in 1972. In 1978 Krebs founded Krebs and Lansing Consulting Engineers where he was president until he retired in 2004. He is past president of the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying, the Vermont Society of Land Surveyors, the Vermont Section of the America Council of Engineering Companies, past governor of The American Congress of Surveying and Mapping , and is an alternate on the Board of Directors of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). He continues to be active as a fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers in education issues. He served as vice chair of the South Hero Zoning Board of Adjustment for 20 years and was an EMT and captain on the South Hero Rescue Squad for 10 years. He is also the current moderator of the South Hero Congregational Church. Krebs and his wife Sally have 3 daughters, Katherine, Jessie and Christine.
