TIMOTHY JERMAN of Essex Junction, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born on January 24, 1949, in Stamford, Connecticut, and became a resident of present town in 1982. Occupation: Director of Human Resources, VSAC, retired 2008. He was educated at Stamford High School, Stamford, Connecticut; University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut (B.A., Political Science, 1970); Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts (M.ed., 1975). He is married with two grown daughters and a stepson. Memberships: Essex Junction Village Trustee; Essex C.H.I.P.S. Board of Directors; Essex Junction Recreation Department Advisory Board; EBPA Memorial Day Parade Committee; Regional Planning Commission Housing Goals Task Force; NCSL Education Committee; Vermont Civics Education Council; Essex Board of Civil Authority and Justice of the Peace; Volunteer, Neighborhood Watch and Essex Junction Block Party.     LINDA WAITE-SIMPSON    


LINDA WAITE-SIMPSON of Essex Junction, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Miami, Florida and moved to Vermont in 1998. She graduated from Florida State University in 1978 with a baccalaureate in 19th century humanities. After moving to Fairbanks, Alaska in 1981, she married Harold S. Simpson, Jr. They moved to New York City in 1986 and lived in and around the city until their move to Vermont. Linda was employed by a Fortune 500 company where she worked in the IT department managing the personal computer arena. She also served as Director of Communications for the Association of Consulting Management Firms. Linda and Harold started their family in 1991 and at that point, Linda decided to become a stay-at-home mom (2 daughters.) She continued her IT work on a contracted basis and also started a small baking business as well as an online antiques business. Linda is the current chair of the Essex Junction Prudential Committee which oversees the PreK-8 school district and village recreation department, Chair of the Essex Junction School District Board of Civil Authority, Chair of the Chittenden Central Supervisory Union Board (rotates annually among member districts), and Chittenden and Grand Isle County representative to the Vermont School Board Association. She has also served on numerous committees and was most recently elected Justice of the Peace for Essex Town.
