GERALD W. "GARY" REIS of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County, Republican, born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 4, 1935 moved to St. Johnsbury in 1976 to work for EHV-Weidmann Industries In 1999, he became Director of the local Welfare-to- Work program. Retired since 2003, Gary received his education in the New York area and his B.S.in Industrial Management from Adelphi University on Long Island in 1964. He has two sons; a daughter, five grandchildren and a Black Lab. Gary’s past and present memberships have included St. Johnsbury Select board (vice chairman) and Planning Commission, St. Johnsbury Kiwanis Club (past President) Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce ( past President), Northeast Kingdom Youth Services (past President) Lyndon State College Foundation (past Treasurer), Town, County, and State Republican Committees and the St. Johnsbury Development Fund. CALEDONIA-3 ROBERT C. SOUTH ROBERT C. SOUTH of St. Johnsbury, Caledonia County. A Democrat, born in Bradford, PA, on February 13th, 1968, becoming a St. Johnsbury resident in 1994. Bob received his primary and secondary education in Bradford, PA, and remains employed at Fairbanks Scales in St. Johnsbury, where he previously was Union President for 10 years. He is the current National Union Trustee of United Electrical Radio and Machine workers of America. Bob is married to Amy South, and has two daughters Sierra and Hannah. Bob was elected Justice of the Peace and Trustee of Public Funds in 2005, and is currently a corporator for Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital, as well as being selected for the St. Johnsbury Planning Commission in 2007 and St. Johnsbury Finance Committee in 2008.
