STEVEN B. MAIER of Middlebury, Addison County, Democrat, was born on January 5, 1956, in Milford, Connecticut, and became a resident of Middlebury in 1992. Occupation: environmental consultant. He was educated at Williams College, Williamstown, Massachusetts (B.A., 1978) and Vermont Law School, South Royalton, Vermont (Master’s in Environmental Law, 1985). He is married to Priscilla S.
