KITTY OXHOLM of Vergennes, Addison County, Republican, was born and raised in Hannibal, Missouri, and became a resident of Vergennes 40 year ago. She graduated from Culver-Stockton College, Canton, Missouri, with a B.S. in Business Administration and Economics and received her M.Ed. from the University of Vermont. She has been a special educator for Addison Northwest Supervisory Union for 33 years, currently as Director of Instructional Support Services. Kitty, widowed for 15 years, was married to John M. Oxholm and has one daughter and two sons. She is a Trustee of the Bixby Memorial Free Library, a Justice of the Peace, and board member of the People of Addison County Together. A member of the Congregational Church of Vergennes, she serves as Moderator and Co-Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Kitty was Mayor of Vergennes for 4 years and a member of the City Council for 7 years. She is a member of the Vergennes Lions Club. She has also served on the boards of Friends of the Vergennes Opera House, the Vergennes Partnership, Addison County Economic Development Corporation, and Addison County Poverty Task Force.
