JON ANDERSON, ESQ., of Montpelier, Democrat, born Springfield, Vermont, January 5, 1953, graduated from Brattleboro Union High School in 1971, when he was named as one of 121 Presidential Scholars in the nation, received a J.D. from Yale University and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with Highest Distinction, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a partner in Burak Anderson & Melloni, PLC, a law firm with offices in Burlington, and co-owner with his wife, Betsy, of Betsy's Bed & Breakfast, in Montpelier. He has served since 1999 as a member of the Montpelier Downtown Community Association Board of Directors (President, 2004-2006). He authored "Decision Analysis in Environmental Decision-making: Improving the Concorde Balance," 5 Columbia Journal of Environmental Law 156 (1978); Planning and Zoning Chapter, Environmental Law Practice Manual, Vermont Bar Association (1st ed. 1998; 2d ed. 2006); Law and Land Development in Vermont, (1st ed. 2002; 2d ed. 2006). He served as a member of the Montpelier Planning Commission from 1985-1988, a member of the Vermont Board of Architects (1987-1990), a member of the Montpelier City Council (1988-1996) President (1992-1995), a member of the State of Vermont Technical Advisory Committee on Solid Waste from 1990-1994, Chairman of the State of Vermont Blue Ribbon Task Force on Hazardous Waste from 1990-1991, Governor's Interim Legal Counsel from 1990-1991, as a Board member of the Central Vermont Chamber of Commerce from 1996-2001 (Treasurer, 1997; President, 1998-2000); and as delegate from Vermont to the White House Conference on Travel and Tourism in 1995.

WASHINGTON-5 WARREN FREDERICK KITZMILLER WARREN FREDERICK KITZMILLER of Montpelier, Washington County, Democrat, was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1943. He moved to Vermont in 1963 and became a resident of Montpelier in 1974 when he founded Onion River Sports, from which he is now retired. He was appointed to the House in 2001, following the death of his wife, the late State Representative Karen Kitzmiller. In 2006, he married his childhood friend Jeanne Cariati. They have four adult children, Amy & Carrie Kitzmiller and Renee & Joseph Cariati. Member of : Vermont Retail Association; Friends of the Vermont State House, Trustee; People's Health & Wellness Clinic, Director; Montpelier Downtown Community Association, Founder.
