ROBERT W. LEWIS of Derby, Orleans County, Republican, was born in Ellenville, New York on December 15, 1951. He was educated at Rondout Valley High School, Stone Ridge, N.Y.; SUNY @ Morrisville, New York; UCCC @ Stone Ridge, New York; Associate Degree in Criminal Justice; Graduate of New York Correctional Services Academy; Nebraska State Patrol Academy and the Vermont State Police Academy. He has lived in Derby the past 22 years and was a previous resident of Enosburg Falls, Vermont for 2 years. He has been married for 35 years and has a son and a daughter. New York State Correctional Officer, 1973-1977; Nebraska State Patrol Trooper, 1977-1984; Vermont State Police Trooper, 1984-1989; Vermont State Game Warden, 1989-2007 and retired from Satte of Vermont September 2007. Longtime member of Derby Fish & Game Club; Orleans Rod & Gun Club; Vermont Fish & Wildlife Conservation Group; Vermont Game Wardens Association; NRA; North American Wildlife Enforcement Officers Association; Police Officers Association of Nebraska; Vermont Police Association; and Vermont State Employees Association.     SCOTT WHEELER    


SCOTT WHEELER of Derby, Orleans County, Republican, was born in Newport, Vermont on February 8, 1965. A 1984 graduate of North Country Union High School in Newport, he went on to graduate from Johnson State College with a B.A. in psychology. Scott is a community relations writer at North Country Hospital in Newport. He is also the owner and publisher of Vermont's Northland Journal, and the author of Rumrunners and Revenuers: Prohibition in Vermont. His next book, When Salmon Were Kingdom: Echoes from the Clyde River, will be published in 2007. In addition to involvement with numerous history organizations around the state, Scott is a member of the Center for Research on Vermont at the University of Vermont. He dedicates hundreds of hours each year sharing and preserving the history of the Northeast Kingdom.
