WILLIAM F. JOHNSON of Canaan, Essex County, Republican, was born in Hanover, New Hampshire, on September 17, 1952, and was a resident of Norwich until he moved to his present town in 1978. Occupation: Dairy farmer. He was educated at Marion Cross School, Norwich, Vermont; Hanover High School, Hanover, New Hampshire; and Vermont Technical College, Randolph, Vermont (Associate's Degree, Honors 1974). He is married to the former Ursula Szylvian. Canaan Selectboard member 1987-1993, member of District 7 Act 250 Commission 1993-1997, past representative to AGRI-MARK milk cooperative and Milk Promotion Services, Inc., current Vice-president of Northern Vermont Development Association and member of their Executive Committee, member of Scenery Preservation Council, member of Council of State Legislators Northeast Region Energy Advisory Committee. Appointed to the House of Representatives, December 29, 1997, Re-elected 1999-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2004, 2005-2006, 2007-2008. Home phone: 277-8329.
