MICHELE F. KUPERSMITH of South Burlington, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born on February 3, 1953 in Burlington, Vermont, and has been a resident of South Burlington since 1986. She has two sons, one in college and one at South Burlington High School. Her education includes graduating from Burlington High School (1971), University of Vermont (B.A.1975), Vermont Law School (J.D. 1982) and formal training in mediation. Boards that Michele has served on include the Vermont Board of Medical Practice (1986-1991), the Vermont Bar Foundation (1993-1997) and the South Burlington Development Review Board (2003-2005). Her career has included practicing law with both non-profits and private firms. She has also been a mediator, and has worked with entities involved in education, training and workforce development.
