KENNETH ATKINS of Winooski, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Winooski, on June 21, 1940. He was a three-sport athlete at Winooski High School and was graduated from there in 1959. Ken received a B.S. in Education from the University of Vermont in 1964. His post-graduate studies led to a masters degree in teaching with an additional 45 credits in computer studies. Ken retired in June, 1998, after 34 years as an elementary education teacher and coach in Vermont schools. He is married to Judith Miller Atkins, a former business education teacher. They have two daughters and two granddaughters and one grandson. Ken has been active as a parish council member at St. Stephen's Church in Winooski and is a charter member of the Winooski Spartan Boosters. He is a competitive pistol shooter, a fisherman and has a love for old Ford Mustangs. Member of the House: 1999-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2004, 2005-2006, 2007-2008. Home phone: 655-1280.     CLEMENT (CLEM) J. BISSONNETTE    


CLEMENT (CLEM) J. BISSONETTE a Democrat, was born and raised, and still resides in Winooski. Clem graduated from Champlain College in 1965 with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management and began a 36-year career with IBM in Essex Junction. Clem married Sharon in 1979 and they have one grown son, Mitchell. They are members of St. Francis Xavier Parish in Winooski. Clem has served the City of Winooski in the following capacities: Chair of the Winooski Housing Authority, Deputy Mayor of the City Council, Chair of the Winooski School Board Trustees, and as Mayor of Winooski, oversaw the largest Downtown Redevelopment in the State of Vermont, and is currently Interim City Manager.
