JUDITH M. LIVINGSTON
of Manchester, Bennington County, Republican, was born in Melrose, Massachusetts, lived in Kailua, Hawaii; Darien, Connecticut; and Washington, D.C. She became a resident of Manchester in 1972. Educated as a Graphics Designer, she currently works for an interior design firm. She was educated at Darien High School, Darien, Connecticut; University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut; National Art Academy and Corcoran Art School, Washington, D.C.; and Harvard Graduate School of Design, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She currently serves on the following community boards: Bank of Bennington; Northshire Civic Center/Riley Rink; Burr and Burton Academy; Northshire Performing Arts Association; and is a Trustee Emerita and former Chairman of Hildene. She was an architect in the development of the Vermont Equine Industries Council and is the legislative member. She is currently engaged in forming a private-sector advisory council on Nanotechnology collaborating with the Vermont Department of Economic Development. In the Legislature she served for six years on the House Judiciary Committee; two years as Vice Chair of House Ways and Means; two years on the Appropriations Committee; two years on the Education Committee and is currently Vice-Chair of Commerce. State Boards include: Friends of the Statehouse and Vermont Film Commission and is entering her 8th year as Republican Member-at-Large of House Rules.
