TIMOTHY R. CORCORAN, II of Bennington, Bennington County, Democrat, was born in Bennington, Vermont, on March 17, 1973, and has been a lifelong resident. Occupation: Manufacturing. He was educated at Mt. Anthony Union High School, Bennington, Vermont; Johnson State College, Johnson, Vermont (B.A., Political Science, 1996). He is married to Corrie Sargent Corcoran.     JOSEPH L. KRAWCZYK, JR.    


JOSEPH L. KRAWCZYK, JR. of Bennington, Bennington County, Republican, was born in Bennington, Vermont, on 24 December 1947. Occupation: US Army retired. He was educated in Bennington at St. Francis de Sales Academy and graduated from Bennington Catholic High School in 1965. He holds a BS degree from the University of Southern Colorado and a MA from the United States Naval War College. He entered the army at the age of 19 and remained for more than 27 years before retiring in 1994 at the rank of colonel. He served as a Cavalry platoon leader in Vietnam in 1969-1970 where he was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action, four Bronze Stars for Valor, and two Purple Hearts for wounds received in combat. After his retirement, he returned to Bennington and took the position of store manager at H. Greenberg & Son where he served for more than 7 years. In 2001, he was elected to the Bennington Select Board, and in 2002 he was selected as Vice-Chairman, a position that he still holds. He has served on the Boards of the Better Bennington Corporation and the Bennington Economic Development committee. He is a life member of VFW Post 1332, American Legion Post 13, Vietnam Veterans of America, Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans, Elks Lodge 567, life member of the NRA, and the Catamount Rotary. In 2003 he was appointed to the Governor's Veterans Advisory Council and currently serves as chairman. He is married to Claire Krawczyk and has two daughters and two grand daughters.
