     MICHAEL FISHER      


MICHAEL FISHER of Lincoln, Addison County, Democrat, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on December 7, 1965 and became a resident of present town in 1988. Representative Fisher is an outreach social worker for the Addison County Parent/Child Center working with Teenage Parents and their children. He attended Elementary School in Bala Cynwyd, Pennsylvania, Lower Merion High School, received his undergraduate degree from Hampshire College in Amherst, Mass, and his Masters of Social Work from the University of Vermont. He is married to Ann Fisher and has a son age 11, and a daughter age 8. Member of the House 2001-2002; Fish, Wildlife, and Water Resources Committee, 2003-2004; Government Operations Committee, 2005-2006; Vice Chair, Human Services Committee, 2007-2008. Religion: Jewish.         DAVE SHARPE      


       

DAVE SHARPE was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 21st, 1946 to a Baptist minister and his wife. He moved with his family to Erie, Pennsylvania where he spent most of his childhood. The family moved to Youngstown, Ohio in 1963 where he met his future wife Pat. Upon graduation from Kalamazoo College in 1968 with a B.A. in Chemistry, Dave joined VISTA and served in Vermont as the building coordinator of the Addison County self-help housing project. He and his wife fell in love with the state, purchased land and built their own home with the help of friends. Dave and Pat have two sons who were born in 1971 and 1973. They both graduated from Mount Abraham High School in Bristol and The University of Vermont. The Sharpes owned and operated Hill Automotive for 18 years before Dave shifted gears in 1991 to teach Automotive Technology at regional technical centers in Middlebury and Essex Junction. During his 38 years in Bristol Dave started the 5-town men's basketball league, represented the community on the regional solid waste district and was a former chair of the Bristol Planning Commission. Currently he serves on the Bristol Selectboard. Dave remains active in his community as a member of the Bristol Historical Society and the Bristol Recreation Club. Member of the House 2000-2008.
