          ALICE W. NITKA           


ALICE W. NITKA of Ludlow, Windsor County, Democrat, was born December 13, 1944, in Little Falls, New York, and became a resident of present town in 1969. Occupation: She is employed by the Vermont Achievement Center, Inc., a children's services agency. She was formerly employed as a social worker for more than thirty years specializing in adoptions. She was educated at Williamstown Public Schools, Williamstown, Massachusetts; Vincentian Institute, Albany, New York; Russell Sage College, Troy, New York (B.A., 1967). She is married to Martin Nitka, and they have two daughters, Abigail and Molly. Member of: Ludlow Board of Civil Authority; Rutland Regional Board for Family Services; Vermont Foster and Adoptive Families Association; Black River Valley Rod and Gun Club and serves as a Justice of the Peace. Past member of: Ludlow Planning Commission and Zoning Board of Adjustment, chair. Member of the House: 1999-2000, 2001-2002, 2003-2004, 2005-2006. Home phone: 228-8432.
