JAMES O'NEILL CONDON of Colchester, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born on May 19, 1958, in New London, Connecticut, and became a resident of present town in 1993. Occupation: Deli and Grocery Store Manager. He was educated at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Connecticut (B.A., History, 1981). He is past president of the VT Associated Press Broadcasters Association. He is a volunteer for the Toys for Kids of Vermont. Member of the House: 2005-2006. Home phone: 655-5764.     MALCOLM F. SEVERANCE    


MALCOLM F. SEVERANCE of Colchester, Chittenden County, Republican, was born in Colchester, on October 9, 1924, and has been a resident of Colchester continuously since 1960. Occupation: retired. He was educated at Colchester Union School; Edmunds High School, Burlington; University of Vermont (B.S., 1949); and the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin (Ph.D., 1958), UVM Professor and Administrator 1953-1986. He is married to the former Gladys Clark (UVM '49), and they have two daughters and a son. Member of: VELCO, board of directors (1972-present); Vermont Symphony Orchestra, trustee (1986-2002); The Snelling Center, 2001-present; First Baptist Church of Burlington, auditor, 1953-2002; Colchester Community Development Corporation, charter member; Bank of Vermont, board of directors (1969-94); University of Vermont, trustee (1990-96 and 1999-present); University Health Center, trustee (1990-94); Fletcher Allen Health Care, trustee (1994-97); Vermont Historical Society, trustee (1986-90); Governor's Council of Economic Advisors, 1969-72, 1976-84; Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, board of directors (1966-72), president (1971-72); Colchester Planning Commission; New England School of Banking at Williams College, executive director,(1985-92); Northern New England School of Banking, director (1981-95), lecturer (1961-2001); lecturer at other banking schools in New England (1962-96).
