of Shelburne, Vermont, Chittenden County, Republican, was born on June 14, 1944, in Providence, R.I., and became a resident of present town
in December 1985. He graduated from UVM, Burlington, Vt., in 1966 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He is married to Elaine Z. Dates and
they have 2 daughters and 1 son. He retired from IBM in Essex Junction, Vt., in 1999. Memberships/Affiliations: Shelburne, Vt. Selectboard, 1
999-2005 (chair 2 years and vice-chair 2 years); First Congregational Church - since 1982, Treasurer - 2003 to present, Prudential - 2000-2003 - chair
in last year; Rotary, 2005-present; Pierson Library Volunteer, 1999 to present; Vermont Botanical Gardens Board, 2002-2004. Memberships Prior to
1999: State Alzheimer's Board; Vt. Academy of Arts & Science Board; Odyssey of the Mind Board. He was appointed to the House of Representatives
