WILLIAM N. (BILL) ASWAD of Burlington, Chittenden County, Democrat, was born in Binghamton, New York, and became a resident of present town in September, 1951. Occupation: retired Manager of manufacturing engineering. He was educated in elementary and secondary schools in Binghamton, New York. Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University, Potsdam, New York, with graduate work at Union College in Schenectady, New York. He has four adult children. He served in World War II and retired as a Major in the Corps of Engineers and is a registered Professional Engineer. CHITTENDEN-3-1 KURT WRIGHT KURT WRIGHT of Burlington, Chittenden County, Republican, was born in Middlebury, Vermont on February 7, 1956 and became a resident of present town in 1978. He grew up in Vergennes and graduated from Vergennes Union High School and attended business classes at Champlain College. He is manager of Kerry's Kwik Shop on St. Paul Street in Burlington. He is married to the former Kimberly Nuttlall who is in the health care industry. He has been a member of the Chittenden County Republican Committee, a Republican delegate to the State Convention, and Chairman of the Burlington Republican City Committee. Wright served on Burlington's Ward 4 Neighborhood Planning Assembly and as one of Burlington's City Constables. In 1995, he was elected to Burlington's City Council, serving 2 terms.
